M Anthony’s multifaceted life as a music artist, songwriter, producer, author, and community leader shapes his unique sound, which blends his rich background in music with his profound personal beliefs. M Anthony’s musical journey began in his childhood, deeply influenced by his family’s love for music. Born in New Orleans, his family relocated to the Bayou area of Louisiana to shield him and his siblings from the challenges of inner-city life. In a home filled with gospel music, M Anthony’s early exposure to the church choir—where his mother served as a choir director—ignited his passion for singing at the tender age of seven. His musical education expanded when he took up the trumpet, laying a solid foundation in instrumental music from fourth to eighth grade. By thirteen, he had moved on to mastering the piano and organ, showcasing his versatility and dedication to his craft.
M Anthony’s professional career in music took off in 1993 with the formation of Total Package, a group that introduced his writing and production talents to a broader audience with the release of the single “Midnight Romance.” His deep-seated faith and love for gospel music led him to co-create Divine Inspiration, a Christian duo with whom he released the album Stay. This album was a testament to his ability to intertwine his musical prowess with his spiritual beliefs, marking a significant milestone in his career. His foray into Christian music further evolved with the writing, composition, and production of a fourteen-scene Christian musical titled Choices and the publication of his book, America: A Disconnected Society, which addresses the societal issues and cultural divisions present in modern America.
The release of his first solo album, To The Nations, in 2019 marked a new chapter in M Anthony’s artistic journey. This album was well-received for its innovative mix of musical genres and insightful lyrics, setting the stage for his latest work, Trojan Horse. The EP reflects his evolving artistry and his commitment to pushing the boundaries of worship music.
Managed by Xstrataflo, a Management Consulting Firm, M Anthony looks forward to expanding his brand and music in addition to developing other artists. Through his music, M Anthony seeks to communicate that “music can transcend any religious, cultural, and social divide,” a message that resonates deeply in a world increasingly marked by division.
